Citroen Records 3× Growth in Q4 2025, Plans Expansion of India Operations

3× Growth Over Q3 2025; Exports Reach 18.8% in CY 2025
India-First Innovation and Portfolio Expansion Drive Growth Across Domestic and Export Markets

Citroën India recorded strong momentum in Q4 2025, posting a threefold increase in sales compared to the previous quarter. The growth was driven by India-specific product offerings, a rapidly expanding ecosystem, and India’s growing role as an export hub, contributing to an 18.8 per cent export share in calendar year 2025 across African and ASEAN markets.

The refreshed Citroën portfolio—aligned with the brand’s Citroën 2.0: ‘Shift Into The New’ strategy—now includes models such as the C3X, Aircross X, and Basalt X. This strategy emphasizes higher localisation levels, expansion of the dealer and service network, and a sharper focus on consumer-centric products. Among the key highlights is Cara AI, which debuted with the Basalt X and has received strong customer response, according to the company.

Commenting on the performance, Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director, Stellantis India, said:

“The Citroën 2.0 – ‘Shift Into The New’ strategy is delivering steady growth in India. With a sharp focus on localisation, India-first product innovations, and enhanced customer accessibility, we have built a strong and sustainable growth trajectory. The results are evident—Citroën delivered 3× sales growth in Q4 compared to Q3 and contributed significantly to Stellantis India’s 18.8 per cent export growth in 2025. With the Basalt set to join our global export portfolio in 2026, India is fast emerging as a core pillar of Citroën’s long-term strategy for product development, manufacturing, and technology.”
